STEPHEN H. KAHN, the founding partner of Kahn Opton, LLP, has practiced in the fields of employment and labor law and civil rights law for more than twenty-five years. He has litigated on behalf of business executives and professionals in all substantive areas of employment law, including discrimination and harassment based on sex, race, disability or age, and retaliation and whistleblower claims. His work has spanned the spectrum from executive compensation and competition issues to the representation of union members. Recently, he has been particularly involved in litigation under the Americans with Disabilities Act concerning removal of unlawful architectural barriers.

Mr. Kahn is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of New York, and the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. A former attorney for the National Labor Relations Board, he is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations’ Committees on Labor Law. He serves as an Executive Committee member in New Jersey. He is a published author on employment law topics, a frequent public speaker, and a former Adjunct Professor at Bergen Community College.

Mr. Kahn received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School-Newark.
